Meeting His Mother: During his travels, Gon eventually meets his mother, Mito Freecss. She reveals to him that she had been searching for him since he was born and that she had been protecting him from afar all these years.
Learning About His Father: Through Mito’s guidance, Gon learns more about his father Ging Freecss and why he left them so long ago. He also discovers that Ging is an accomplished Hunter—a person with special abilities who can take on dangerous missions in order to make money or gain knowledge—and decides to become one himself in order to find Ging again someday.
Reuniting With His Father: After completing the Hunter Exam and becoming an official Hunter himself, Gon finally reunites with his father at last! The two of them share a heartfelt reunion as they catch up on all the time they have missed together over the years
