Sure, it’s not like the snow we get here in Canada, but it does happen! In fact, some of the highest peaks in Africa even have permanent snow and glaciers. Who’da thunk it?
Snowfall in Africa: Snowfall is rare in most parts of Africa, but it does occur in some areas. The highest elevations of the Atlas Mountains, the Ethiopian Highlands, and Mount Kilimanjaro are all known to receive snowfall on occasion.

Ski Resorts: There are a few ski resorts located in African countries such as Morocco’s Oukaïmeden Ski Resort and South Africa’s Tiffindell Ski Resort which offer skiing opportunities during winter months when temperatures drop low enough for snow to form on their slopes.
